Bring it On Spring!! ...It's done been BROUGHTEN!!

What a beautiful weekend!!! We had so many good intentions, baby daddy wanted to golf, I wanted to go for a walk in the park, there were so many different things on the agenda....but we found several other ways to fill our time.

First, I took little bit over to see one of her Great-Grandma's for a late lunch pit stop on the way home. Grams just ate her up and relished in the time she got to hold and love on her! Grandma just turned 86(Feb.29th actually) and she is just one of the jewels in my eye, and I love how much she loves me and my sweet baby girl!

Friday night we met up with a portion of our Dixon Posse at Red Robin for some much needed catch up time! Ryan just got back from Lake Tahoe for a much needed vaca, Rob from Romania with a friend checking in on continuing support for the mission work he did there for 2 years after college, and then Jess and Syd from Louisiana for some family time while Rob was overseas. Needless to say, it was a long time coming to get together and see what in the world was going on with all of us! Syd and Annabelle are just growing like weeds and full of personality! Of course I didn't even think to have our camera with us...but next time, we will get this gorgeous little girls together for a photo shoot!!

Saturday, we got some saddening news about Stephen's dad-we already knew that he was going to be having a knee replaced, which hit us out of left field to be honest...but he fell at he and Dorothy's recent trip to Pulaski to check in on precious MeMaw. Dorothy recently finished her treatment for Amloidosis (sp?) which included a few days of intense chemotherapy and radiation, and regular check ups throughout her stem cell transplant. So there is a lot going on there with our wonderful Dixon parents, "Pop & DeDe."

I say all of that because Stephen's morning was a little shot and preoccupied with brainstorming with his siblings as to what they could do to best support their parents in this difficult time for them all. We had already planned to go by their house for dinner that night, so the timing
worked out well. We ran a couple of errands that morning, had good intentions of taking advantage of Goodwill's 1/2 price Saturday...but no...and I convinced Stephen to go to his fave, Genghis Grill for lunch. So after a lot of noodles and meat, beer, and a happy baby.....AND a lovely wife, we were able to get a few smiles out of him!

SO on our route to the homestead...we stopped off by the subdivision to go by the house we had been looking at, and saw....people moving in!! TEAR! And in my "Joanna" kind of ways, made him stop so I could say hi....And it turns out to be a friend of my sis-in-law's Jess, and a previous student of my mom's that I have met before, and her husband. Anyways, they got a killer deal, and encouraged us that our size home (similar to theirs) sells quickly, so we have officially decided and dedicated ourselves....to PUTTING OUR HOME ON THE MARKET!!! ! (hold the applause) This is a big deal b/c with all that we have going on in our lives right now, keeping our house clean like it needs to be to sell, is a LOT to commit to!!

So we came home, fed boo boo, put her down for a night, and we got down to business upstairs. We boxed up 1/2 of the attic....aka the train wreck lurking upstairs...and 2.5 hours later, had to WAKE ANNABELLE UP, cleaned up and headed out to Gallatin to see our Dixon parents! They were doing well and we stayed a while and ate, chatted, and caught up on things...allowing for time for Stephen to help his mom/dad out with getting his dad more comfortable using his knee so he can be more confident in his mobility.

It was a good, but slow weekend....one that really offered us a lot of hope and excitement about jumping on board with actually selling our house. We have flirted with it for so long, but the anticipation of a bigger home is so exciting for me and my hubby. He hasn't gotten OFF Realtracs since Saturday.

Tonight we had our small group meeting and it was great having him off work to enjoy time with our church pals. We may have a group getaway in our near future!

So, hope that wasn't a let down...I know we could have made our weekend more interesting, but I love time with my hubby and baby and long for chill weekends with them every day during the week.

We are leaning on God for all of the stuff on our plates right now. From family health...to quality time...to life stressors...and so on. God is good and ever faithful to us, even when we are not to him. Be blessed my friends! And let us know if you're interested in a fabulous house, perfect for first time home buyers!
